Accumulated ash deposits and pluggage of the economizer results in frequent offline cleaning of the economizer. Severe vertical platenization exists in the lower super heater region. SHOCKSystem™ operated intermittently for six days, resulting in improved gas temperatures.

Economizer Bridging and Platenization Removal
Bridging and platenization cause dramatic decline in Delta T within three months after each economizer cleaning outage. After SHOCKSystem™ operation, hoppers took longer to empty and tripped a "High Vacuum" alarm signifying more than usual ash removed between hopper emptying cycles.

Horizontal Reheater Demonstration
Extreme pluggage of the gas lanes in the lower reheater tube assemblies reaches depths between 12 to 24 inches, causing the unit to experience significant outage and reduced capacity. The SHOCKSystem™ successfully removed pluggage in gas lanes and ash accumulation outside of birdcage.
